“The Feminine Mystique” – Betty Friedan

Although I don’t think this book really holds up well over the course of time, The Feminine Mystique was unquestionably a watershed moment in American history. Giving new life to the women’s movement by brutally addressing realities in the inequity of the genders, Friedan’s work restructured the family life in post-war America.
